You can't make this stuff up.
Oh sorry, I didnt know Hiroshima was made up.
What?!? Sagan was NOT referring to Hiroshima. That was in 1945. The Apollo moon landing was in 1969, over 20 years later. Also, Sagan mentions "conventional explosives" - NOT nuclear explosives.Sagan is referencing the Vietnam war (1955-1975).Sheesh. If you're going to try sarcasm, at least get your facts straight.
study your history he is refering to the vietnam war!!
Nor did the first poster say that these were "Made up". He said "You can't make these things up" Meaning that they are true to life pictures.
Some people should be allowed to abort their young... we have too much stupid in the gene pool now...
Yeah. Pretty sure Sagan was mentioning MOABs or something.
Clearly you don't know how to decipher context or have never heard of the saying "You can't make this stuff up!" The commenter wasn't implying that these things actually were made up; it was a reference to how truth can be stranger than fiction.
I don't get the BP gas pump one. Explain please.
remember the big BP oil spill a couple of years ago?
The "You are responsible for spills" bit, because they had that huge oil spill in Gulf.
AAHHHH thanks wasn't thinking of that. I was looking for something more obvious IN the picture
Someone missed the lesson on comprehension, or lives under a rock, WOW!!
